Knighted! Privacy Policy
Knighted! is a single-player puzzle game for Android and iPhone. We built it to work without an account and without our own servers. This policy explains the little data the app handles, and the data our advertising and payment partners handle.
1. What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location or photos. There is no sign-up and no account. We (the developer) do not run any server that receives data from the app, and we do not sell personal data.
2. What stays on your device
Your game progress, puzzle history, statistics, streaks, medals, settings and purchase status are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. They are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Reset in the Chronicles screen clears your statistics, streaks and medals.
The app does not back this data up to the cloud, so moving to a new phone starts the game fresh. A Premium purchase can be restored on a new device through the store you bought it from (see §4).
Notifications. If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to a notification server.
Sharing. When you share a result, the app creates an image on your device and hands it to the share sheet you choose. We receive nothing.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising identifier and other device identifiers,
- information about your device (model, operating system, language),
- approximate location derived from your IP address,
- interactions with ads (views and taps), and diagnostic data.
This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google's consent tool, and no ad is requested until that question has been asked. If you do not consent to personalisation, the ads you see are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time from Help → Privacy & Data → Review your ad privacy choices.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- On iPhone ads are personalised only if you allow the app to track you when iOS asks. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Buying Premium removes ads.
4. Purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase processed entirely by the store you installed the app from — Google Play or Apple's App Store. We never see your card or payment details. The store tells the app only whether Premium is owned, so it can unlock it and restore it on reinstall. The store's handling of your payment data is covered by its own privacy policy.
5. Children
Knighted! is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
6. Data retention and deletion
We hold no data about you. Data on your device stays until you clear it or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google for ads, or by your app store for purchases, is retained under their policies; for Google you can manage it at myaccount.google.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal data, most requests are best directed to Google for ad data and to your app store for purchase data; you can also contact us at support@harpragames.com and we will help.
8. This website
harpragames.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, mention it in the app's release notes.
